Book this if your dog has

  • IVDD, a slipped disc or another spine problem
  • Weak, wobbly or paralysed back legs
  • Recovery to get through after surgery
  • Hip dysplasia, elbow or other joint problems
  • Arthritis, stiffness or pain on getting up
  • Sudden weakness in a leg, or a suspected stroke
  • Muscle lost with age, or a slowing down you cannot explain

If your dog moves less than they used to, a physiotherapist can help.

How it works

  1. Book the call

Tell us about your dog, so your physiotherapist knows what they are looking at before you meet.

  2. Meet on video

The physiotherapist reviews the diagnosis and the history, and watches how your dog actually moves.

  3. Get the home plan

You finish every session with specific exercises, and you do them with your dog between calls.

Keep going

One call starts it, a course finishes it

Physiotherapy works by repetition. The exercises are what rebuild the muscle, and they only work if they are done for weeks, not once. They also have to change as your dog gets stronger, or progress stalls.

One call gives you a plan for the dog in front of you today. A course keeps the plan matched to your dog as they improve, and gives your physiotherapist a chance to correct your handling before a small mistake becomes a habit.

  1. Weeks 1 to 4WeeklyProgress is fastest here and form matters most. She checks your technique and moves the plan on as soon as your dog is ready for more.
  2. Weeks 5 to 12Every two weeksYou are confident with the handling by now. Sessions shift to progressing the load and catching setbacks early.
  3. OngoingMonthlyFor conditions that are managed rather than cured, like degenerative myelopathy and arthritis, monthly sessions hold on to the ground you have gained.

Sidekick runs online dog physiotherapy across India, so a pet parent in a city without a canine rehabilitation clinic gets the same care as one in Gurugram or Bengaluru. Sessions cover IVDD and disc disease, degenerative myelopathy, back leg paralysis and weakness, recovery after spinal or orthopaedic surgery, hip dysplasia, and arthritis in senior dogs. Consultations are on video, and every one ends with dog physiotherapy exercises you can do at home.
